Blackstone is a newer neighborhood on the Southern part of El Dorado Hills, off of Latrobe. This 990 acre master planned community features a resort style club house with 3 pools, a large fitness facility, an aerobics room, locker rooms, massage room, children's play room with outdoor play yard, a large multi-purpose gathering area with adjoining kitchen and living room, shady pavilions, court yards, gazebos, fountains and an outdoor fireplace.
The HOA dues are approximately $73 per month which cover the association management,
common areas, gates and the clubhouse. There are Mello Roos bonds (common for newer
construction) which are billed with your taxes.
Blackstone is located in the Buckeye Union School District. The children who live
here attend have the option of attending Valley View Charter Montessori School (currently
TK-6 but eventually TK-8) or Brooks Elementary School and Camerado Springs
Middle School. Blackstone Students typically attend Union Mine High School
but El Dorado High School District has recently allowed an "exception" that
will allow these students the option to attend Ponderosa High School. It is
referred to as the School Choice Provision. To view the high

who attend a middle school that would feed into Ponderosa
will now be able to continue their education with their
classmates. This new transfer policy also addresses the
high school situation for a small portion of Serrano;
allowing their students to attend Oak Ridge
